The Concept of The Funded Proposal
by Alex Booth
How much money does it take to build a large Network Marketing business? We have all heard that a Network Marketing business costs much less to work than any conventional business with similar potential. That is certainly true if you want to build a small organization.
No doubt, personal contact is the least costly way to build a small Network Marketing business. However, the "just get 5 who get 5" paradigm obviously needs some improvementswith an industry that boasts of a 95% failure rate.
If you have your sights set on building a large income through Network Marketing, direct mail may be your method of choice. If you're not careful, direct mail can be a very expensive undertaking. If you're not using a "Funded Proposal"expect to spend thousands for a very small return.
The "Funded Proposal", as referred to in the March, 1996 issue of Upline Journal, offers valuable information to your potential prospects. Namely, information about "How to succeed in Network Marketing." With such a high industry failure rate, networkers are starving for a better system. They are willing to pay good money for practical information about building their Network Marketing business.
Doesn't your company's leadership have a training tape, book or manual that they sell? Isn't that what the "heavy hitters" and "marketing gurus" in the industry are doing? Aren't they selling generic information and then backending prospects into their company? Aren't they erasing their advertising costs by selling information?
Tony Robins? Don LePre? Brad Richdale? "Big Al"? John Fogg? Buy any of their how-to training products and you'll then be introduced to their "back end". The "hook"...their initial "offer" is only meant to pay for the ads.

Ever hear of Randy Gage, Jeffery Lant, Len Clements, Kevin Trudeu, Big Al, John Fogg, Oleg Geller, Art Meaken, Linda Bruton, Tony Little, Don Falia, Brian Tracy, Robert Allen, Don Mikrut, James Rensvold, Dexter Yeager, John Kalench, Joe Pantano, Richard Dicks and Bill Gouldd? Are YOU having a breakthrough yet?
So, how does the average Joe Networker apply the "Funded Proposal" technique?
HERE IS THE KEY
When you use a "Funded Proposal" approach you need to offer "generic" information that will appeal to almost everyone in Network Marketing. There is an abundance of generic MLM "how to" information out there for you to use. If you are so inclined, there are even books that will teach you how to create your own information products.
Whether you create your own or use someone else's generic information, the "Funded Proposal" can give you and your downline a virtually unlimited source of highly qualified prospects. And best of all, they don't cost a lot of money to acquire! With a "Funded Proposal", you may even make a profit from your recruiting efforts this year.
