A New Breed Of Autoresponder, Auto Message Setup By: Beka Ruse
The concept of the follow up autoresponder revolutionized Internet Marketing. Now, "Auto Message Setup" promises to bring the field an even greater degree of efficiency.
This recent innovation lets experienced marketers painlessly transfer marketing know-how to their entire downlines. A marketer can now provide each of his downline representatives with a follow up autoresponse system that is already packaged with the marketer's pre-written messages.
The result? Just a few minutes of work on the part of an experienced marketer, and each of his reps is set up with the same tried and true marketing messages.
Case Study: Marketer Matt and the New Breed
For example, take a look at the case of a fictional network marketer named Matt M:
For years, Matt has been successfully marketing All Natural Pharmaceuticals using a follow up autoresponder. In fact, much of his success can be attributed to the set of seven messages e-mailed to all of his potential customers. Matt has carefully crafted those messages over the years, and they're really great.
Recently, Matt has been trying to pass what he's learned along to his downline representatives. He explains his marketing principles over the phone, and he knows that several of his reps pass his follow up messages around amongst themselves.
However, Matt finds that his pearls of wisdom rarely survive this 'telling and retelling' intact. He knows his reps aren't getting anywhere near what they could out of his knowledge. He wishes there were a way to harness today's technology, and put it to use for the greater good of his downline...
Enter Auto Message Setup
Using an Auto Message Setup system, Matt's downline reps can order their own follow up autoresponse accounts that are already packaged with Matt's pre-written messages. They can reap the fruits of Matt's experience with ease.
Each rep will customize Matt's messages for himself by logging in to his new follow up autoresponder account, and entering his own contact information.
Here is Matt's original autoresponse message:
Hi LEAD NAME,
Thanks for stopping by the All Natural Pharmaceuticals web site today! We hope you come back soon!
Best Regards, Matt M. matt@all-natural-pharma.com 918 Awl St. Natural, PA 22314
Notice that the message greeting uses a variable, (LEAD NAME). The variable ensures that each of Matt's leads will receive a message personalized with his or her own name. Notice, also, that Matt's name and address are at the end of the message.
Case Study: Downline Dan and the New Breed
Dan is one of Matt's downline representatives. He's ordered his own follow up autoresponder through Matt. Since Matt is using Auto Message Setup, Dan's account came pre-packaged with Matt's marketing messages. Dan personalized those messages to himself by answering a few questions in his Online Control Panel. Now Dan is sending his own personalized version of Matt's messages to his customers! All of the basic content is Matt's, but Dan's contact information is on the letters. Here is the autoresponse that Dan sends to his potential customers:
Hi, LEAD NAME
Thanks for stopping by the All Natural Pharmaceuticals web site today! We hope you come back soon!
Best Regards, Dan D. dan@pharma-ceuticals.com 5 Farm Way Sootuh, TN 88457
Notice that the contact name and address at the end of the e-mail are Dan's, but that the greeting at the beginning of the message still includes the name of Dan's lead.
Mission Accomplished
With Matt's experience in hand, Dan is now marketing more successfully than ever before. And he isn't the only one - Matt's entire downline is now using his marketing messages! Matt's commissions are growing exponentially.
Matt and Dan's situation is not unique. Any network marketer with an established downline can take advantage of the opportunities available in an auto message setup system. There's no better way to put more auto in your autoresponder.

How Making Connections Can Build You AND Your Business! by Sue Seward. Copyright © 2006, All Rights Reserved
How important are making connections to your success? It's extremely important and here's why as well as some of the ways we can all strive to be a better connectors!
First of all we know this is a people business right? It's all about people and what they want! It's not just about you and what you want. If you don't find out what other people want by connecting with them you'll most likely flounder in your business!
Connecting with people and finding out what their desires are, their why, their problems and their purpose and then helping them with solutions to those problems and helping them accomplish their purpose is your real mission!
There's a way to become a better connector and that is to network with lot's of people including people in your own industry that are in other companies. Yes! You read that right! This is very important! Why? Because you never never know when your paths will cross and you end up doing business together! So try not to burn any bridges! If you don't connect then you could lose out on a great potential business partner relationship! This is so crucial! Not to mention the valuable friendships you create.
Now how do we make these connections and how do we connect with people? I've been doing this for almost ten years with people I've connected and built relationships with through the Internet and phone. I've met many of these people personally and have spent time with them and their families. These relationships mean the world to me and I respectfully appreciate each and every one of them!
First of all it's important to always keep an open mind. You're a business person so make connections with all sorts of people where ever you go. If you stay closed minded and only connect with people in your own company or industry you could be losing out on some really valuable resources to help you grow yourself and your business!
Connect with people by asking questions. It's really that simple! When you ask you get answers! When all you do is tell you don't get any answers because you're not connecting with THEM.
Where do these connections take place? Everywhere you go! When you're out doing your errands, your shopping, volunteering at your children's school, at your jobs, on airplanes, in airports, on vacation, with your realtors when you're looking at property, at social functions, at family gatherings, etc.
Does this mean you are shoving your business and products down their throats! NO! You are connecting with THEM! That means asking about them and genuinely taking an interest in what they are saying and what they are not saying!
Your job is to be the messenger. It's not to push, shove, manipulate or force people. Your job is to lead, guide, prompt and suggest. It is the responsibility of each person to give willingly for their own purpose. Sometimes it takes longer with one person than another but it's up to them to decide!
Some of the ways we connect is through using technology. The Internet is an excellent way to connect with lot's of different people by using email, online marketing systems, and message forums and communities.
Some of the communities and organizations where I have networked and connected with people are ryze.com, mlm.com, powerfulintentions.com, mlmwoman.com, greatestnetworker.com, mydswa.com, ivwcc.com, and there are so many others. Just do a google search! These are not places for advertising, they are places to connect with people!
Some of them have special areas for advertising. Make sure you check first so you are in the right place! Some have paid and some you are allowed to advertise in special areas for no charge. Connecting with people though is really the better way!
When you do use technology though remember to turn the high tech into high touch and that means connecting by being interested in people and finding out what they do, where they live, do they love what they do, what are their hobbies, are they married, do they have children, granchildren, are they happy with how their life is going, are they looking for a change? Here's something else to consider. Do they want to connect with you and do you want to connect with them?
Make connections, build rapport that turns into long term relationships and someday (many times even sooner) those relationships will turn out to be an exceptional business connection!
The phone of course is another personal way to connect! Use it often and use it properly by asking those connecting questions above!
Making connections with people could end up being the most important thing you not only do for yourself but when you teach others to do this too think of the possibilities!
Everyone connecting and actually helping each other find positive solutions!!! What a concept huh? It's a gain for everyone lives you help to change for the better!
Now that creates a true people connecting mission that will flourish everyone's business! If you continue to keep making connections and you NEVER GIVE UP you will achieve your dreams and help many others dreams come true too!

You Can't Wimp Your Way To Wealth By Greg Arnold
Let's get real, you can't really expect to get wealthy acting passively. The Internet won't make you wealthy if you expect to slide by without developing the skills to win with it. There aren't really any turnkey Internet wealth systems. In fact the guys who make turnkey systems up, work darned hard to come up with the proper ad to make you think there's something for nothing out there, and you can have it for only $397.00!
Don't plan on getting rich off of some Internet based MLM system either. You aren't going to be able to send out a few thousand leads and get wealthy from it. I don't care how good those lead guys ads sound! If you have to pay $25 per month to participate in a web-based mlm building system, chances are you'd be better off paying a person a month $25 to join you.
So why won't the Internet work for you? Believe it or not, it isn't because you can't make money on the Internet. It's because YOU don't like to work! MLM is about relationships. People have to be able to buy you before they buy your deal! If you are hiding behind a webpage and thinking that it will do all the work for you... Buzzzzzz... you're wrong!
What do I do Greg?
I am so glad you asked. First, grow up! This is a dadgummed business. You have to be willing to invest time in developing skills and in prospecting. Which, by the way, if you spend a bunch of time prospecting, you will develop skills! You also need to invest some money in your business. Yes, get on autoship. That is called using your own products and being a good leader. Leadership is everything. Why would anyone want to follow you is you aren't going to LEAD them. Invest in training tools and seminars... these help you develop fresh ideas. Seminars are good places to network. Invest in advertising every month. In advertising consistency and persistency pays off. NEVER stop advertising.
Talk to people. It's ok to make initial contacts over the internet but you have to move that conversation to the telephone right away. Again, people buy you first, you have to connect with them. You have to get to the point where you like the twinkle in each other's eyes. Did I mention you have to grow up? Stop complaining every time something goes wrong. You will get paid the big bux to move forward, seek out the challenges, find solutions, and move forward again! The more you follow that path the more successful you will have the opportunity to be. Also, success doesn't happen overnight. Get real in your expectations. Expect to win but expect to pay the price of success first.
Get your name out there. Write a few articles and submit them to the 100's of online publications out there. They all give you bio space at the bottom and a link to your website. Get seen. There are a billion people on the Internet now... make them notice you and then get them on the telephone. BTW... Skype is free. If you are building your business worldwide... sign up for it. http://www.skype.com it's owned by Ebay. Get yourself listed in Who's Who In MLM (http://www.whoswhoinmlm.com ) they are a small investment for what you get (only $49.97 yr). Be sure to apply, they accept almost everyone, outside of criminals and MLM bashers. You get to put one of their "Biography Listed In Who's Who In MLM" logos on your website. This will be worth some good credibility points to your prospects.
If I seem hard on you, maybe it is time that someone was and told you like it is. The sooner you come to grips with the reality of the business, the sooner you can get rich from it! AND...you CAN get rich from this business. ANYONE CAN! You just have to be willing to do what it takes. Start by getting listed in Who's Who in MLM and sharing that with your prospects also by getting a free Skype account. It is time to start winning!

Industry Definitions by Daniel O. Jensen
ACCUMULATED GROUP VOLUME (AGV) A Distributor's group volume from the day he or she becomes a Distributor to present. This value does not clear or reset each commission period; it continues to grow.
ACCUMULATED PERSONAL VOLUME (APV) A Distributor's personal volume from the day he or she becomes a Distributor to present. This value does not clear or reset each commission period; it continues to grow.
ACTIVE Only Active Distributors may have earnings. A Distributor is considered Active when they have at least ?$$$$ Personal Volume and/or?$$$$$ Group Volume. Some plans impose other requirements as well.
BACK END A term used to describe the portion of a Step-Level / Breakaway plan which pays commissions to breakaway distributors. (Also see Front End)
BONUS VOLUME (BV) The Qualifying Volume from the sales order that will be the volume credited for a sale. It is added to the Personal Volume (PV) of the purchasing Distributor, his Group Volume, and the Group Volume of upline Distributors according to the plan. This volume may optionally be different than the volume on which the commissions are paid (See Commissionable Volume).
BREAKAGE Many distributors are either unqualified or ineligible to receive some or all types of commission each month. When these unpaid commissions are retained by the company, they are called Breakage. Breakage also happens when an order is placed by a distributor who is close to the top of the genealogy such as a distributor sponsored directly by the company or an orphan. In these cases, some or all of the commissions that would normally be paid to an upline are retained by the company because there are few, if any, distributors in the purchasers upline. Please note that commissions are always paid upline. When the upline is small or nonexistent, the company retains the unpaid commissions, causing Breakage.
BREAKAWAY When Distributors are promoted to a certain title, they "break away" from their sponsors and are thereafter called "breakaway" distributors. Their group volume is no longer included in their sponsor's group volume. reakaways are entitled to additional compensation, which is usually referred to as a Generation Override. Breakaway positions are usually considered sales leaders.
COMMISSIONABLE VOLUME (CV) The assigned value of each purchased product on which commissions are paid. It is in the currency of the country in which the order was placed (though the eventual commission check may be issued in yet a Industry Definition of Terms, by Daniel O. Jensen, djensen@jenetek.com Page 2 different currency). Sales aids usually have no commissionable Value. Commissionable products have a Commissionable Value which does not have to equal the price paid for the product.
COMMISSIONS An amount paid to a Distributor on his or her direct and downline Commissionable Volume. It usually comprises Commissionable Volume within his own Group. Some plans call all forms of payment to Distributors a "commission".
COMPRESSION See Roll-Up. Also used to describe the impact on a enealogy when a Distributor is terminated. In this case, the downline of the terminated Distributor is linked to the sponsor of the terminated Distributor causing a "compression" effect on the downline.
DISTRIBUTOR A person or entity in the genealogy with a class of "D" (Distributor) is a Distributor. Anyone who gets credit for a purchase or can receive commissions must be in the genealogy. All Distributors must sign a Distributor Agreement to avoid being considered employees of the corporation. Some companies allow two or more people to join together as a single Distributor entity. This is also called a Distributorship.
DOWNLINE The Distributors personally sponsored by a Distributor, as well as all the Distributors they sponsor, etc. Example: You sponsor Jim, who sponsors Mary, who sponsors Ted. All these Distributors are in your downline.
ENROLLING SPONSOR The Sponsor who recruits a new distributor or customer. This person may be different from the Sponsor assigned to the new recruit in some compensation plans such as Matrix or Binary. It may also be different if the Enrolling Sponsor of a distributor is terminated. In this case, the distributor is placed under the sponsor of the terminated distributor. (Also see Sponsor, Compression)
EXEMPTIONS Distributors may be permanently or temporarily exempted from meeting certain requirements for qualification. These should be clearly defined but not published. Distributors should not expect to be exempted when they fail to meet their qualifications even when they have an 'excuse'. Reality requires this capability, however, to deal with corporate mistakes and other exceptions.
FRONT END A term used to describe the portion of a Step-Level / Breakaway plan which pays commissions to nonbreakaway distributors. (Also see Back End)
GENEALOGY The sales organization of a company or Distributor. It is also called a Downline.
GENERATION The relationship between an upline breakaway and a downline breakaway, not including non-breakaways The first breakaway in any leg is a first generation breakaway. Generations are counted based on this period's fully qualified title.
GENERATION OVERRIDE The commissions paid to upline Generations based on GV Note that this is only paid to Breakaways.
GROUP All downline Distributors not including any other breakaway Distributor or the groups of other breakaways.
GROUP COUNT The count of Distributors in a group not including one's own self. Also called Group Size.
GROUP VOLUME (GV) The total of all Personal Volume (PV) sold by a group for a commission period. This includes one's own Personal Volume (PV).
INACTIVE Each commission period (month?) that a Distributor is not Active, he is considered Inactive.
LEG Each personally sponsored Distributor and all his or her downline. Also referred to as Line of Sponsorship. If a Distributor recruits five other Distributors, placing them on his first level, each recruit comprises a Leg of the sponsor. Leg is also used to signify a single chain of Distributors where "A" sponsors "B" who sponsors "C" who sponsors "D", etc. Together, they are often referred to as a Leg.
LEVEL The position a Distributor has in a downline relative to an upline Distributor. Distributors personally sponsored are level one to the sponsor. Those Distributors sponsored by level one Distributors are level two, relative to the original Distributor. (Also see Qualified Level)
LEVEL OVERRIDE The commissions paid upline Distributors based on relative position in the genealogy. Note this is only paid to qualified levels. This type of commission is usually paid only in Uni-level compensation plans, not Step Level / Breakaway plans.
ORPHAN When a new distributor joins a company, a distributor application form is completed and sent to the company. On the application, the new distributor's sponsor name and account number is noted so the company can link the new distributor to his sponsor. Occasionally, the sponsoring distributor noted on the application is either incorrect or nonexistent making it impossible to correctly link a new distributor to an existing sponsor. In such cases, the new distributor is called an orphan. Procedurally, most companies have a distributor in their genealogy called "Orphan Account" to which all orphans are temporarily linked until their correct sponsor can be resolved. Commissions paid on the purchases of these orphans are usually retained by the company as breakage because there is no upline. Resolving orphan-sponsor linkages quickly is a high priority with most companies to avoid problems caused by not paying commissions to the correct upline.
PAID-AS TITLE The title a Distributor is qualified for in each commission period. This title is not necessarily the Distributor's permanent "official" title. The Paid-As Title may change with each commission run but the Title does not. The Paid-As Title will never be greater than the permanent Title.
PERSONAL VOLUME (PV) The value of commissionable products purchased in a commission period is called Personal Volume or PV.It is based on the sum of each purchased product's Qualifying Volume. It is credited to one and only one purchasing Distributor in a commission period. It represents the total value of commissionable product purchased. It is usually included in the Distributor's Group Volume. When retail customers buy directly from the company, the Qualifying Volume of their order is usually included in the Personal Volume (and Group Volume) of their sponsoring Distributor.
QUALIFYING VOLUME The value of a commissionable product which is applied toward Distributor qualifications in the compensation plan. This value is added to both Personal Volume (PV) and Group Volume (GV) when purchased. It is different than Commissionable Volume. Commissionable products have a Qualifying Volume which does not have to equal the price paid for the product. (Also see Commissionable Volume)
QUALIFIED In most plans, a Distributor is "qualified" if they can receive Generation Overrides.
QUALIFIED LEVEL Some Uni-level plans which pay commissions based on Levels instead of rank or title pay based on Qualified Levels. In these plans, a Qualified Level is represented by each qualified Distributors in a single Leg or single chain of Distributors. Inactive Distributors are not counted as Qualified Levels in these plans. (See also Roll-Up)
RECRUIT A distributor who is recruited by another distributor to participate in the compensation plan or business opportunity.
RETAIL VOLUME The total retail value of commissionable products is called Retail Volume. Retail Volume is seldom used by compensation plans; most plans rely on wholesale values to determine Qualifying and Commissionable Volumes used in their compensation plan.
ROLL-UP If a commission payment cannot be paid to a Distributor due to that Distributor's being inactive, unqualified or not eligible in a given period, the payment will "roll up" to the next qualified, active and eligible Distributor upline. In most plans, the volume does not roll up with the payment which would result in increasing the Group Volume of upline Distributors based on the poor performance of their downline - the practice of volume roll-up is not recommended while the practice of commission or override roll-up is recommended.
SPONSOR The Distributor immediately upline of a Distributor. It is usually the person who originally recruited the Distributor but may be different if the Sponsor has inherited one or more people through Compression due to the termination of previously sponsored Distributors. It may also be different in plans that automatically place new recruits in certain spots or positions based on plan rules such as in Matrix or Binary plans. In these plans it is common for the sponsor to be different from the original Enrolling Sponsor. (Also see Enrolling Sponsor)
STACKING A usually undesirable technique used by Distributors to manipulate the compensation plan. Stacking occurs when a Distributor recruits other Distributors placing them in a single Downline Leg or chain instead of directly under the recruiting distributor.
UNENCUMBERED GROUP VOLUME (UGV) To avoid the Group Volume of one Distributor inadvertently promoting his sponsor (and his sponsor, etc., which is often called Stacking), some plans require Group Volume used for advancement to Breakaway position to be derived from sources other new breakaway distributors. These other sources are most often other legs within the Group which are not being advanced to Breakaway positions. The Group Volume derived from these other sources is considered Unencumbered Volume. This distinguishes it from the Group Volume used by a downline Distributor that breaks away (encumbered volume). Some plans allow a portion of the Group Volume of a Distributor achieving Breakaway status to be included in the Unencumbered Group Volume of his sponsor. For example, a plan might allow the excess or unused Group Volume of a downline Distributor who is achieving Breakaway to be included in his sponsor's Unencumbered Group Volume. The purpose of unencumbered Group Volume is to avoid Distributors manipulating the intent of the compensation plan by funneling all their volume into one downline Distributor which causes an entire leg to be advanced to Breakaway status. (Also see Stacking)
UPLINE A Distributor's sponsor, along with his or her sponsor, etc. All distributors in the genealogy above a distributor are referred to as his upline. For example, if A sponsors B who sponsors C who sponsors D, then the upline of D consists of A, B, and C.

Attracting The Big Guns Build A Really Big MLM Team In As Little As Six Months With These Simple Yet Powerful Secrets By Greg Arnold
Attracting top quality people it's a lot like hunting. When you go hunting, it's important to know something about the beast you're hunting. You need to know where they live, what and when they eat. You need to know something about how they live, their families, what they like and don't like. If you know these things you can figure out how to be more effective hunting them.
The same thing applies when you are hunting for new team members. It is very important to understand human nature. Read How to Win Friends and Influence People. This book is a very valuable tool in understanding human nature. People are emotional creatures. Almost every decision they make is an emotional one. At first I thought we were ruled by logic. What I found out is that people make their decisions based on emotion and they justify those decisions with logic. I also found out that when I approached people about joining forces with me, the more logical reasons I gave for the alliance, the more skeptical they became.
It was only after I became very emotional about what we were putting together did they begin to respond to me favorably. What I learned by this was, the more logically you approach someone, the more skeptical they become. And, the more emotionally you approach someone, the more excited they become. I also found that if you speak from your head, people will respond to you with their head and become skeptical. If you speak from your heart, it bypasses their skeptical brain and hits them straight in their emotional heart. Then they start to get excited about what you're doing and want to join you.
People need to be part of something special. They need crusades. If we don't stand for something, we'll fall for anything. I always speak of the big goal and how it can change all our lives for the better. As we begin to see the big goal together, we begin to move towards it together.
An interesting challenge with mlm is it is typical to have wonderful products or services to sell. So wonderful, most people get very wrapped up in them and lose sight of what business they are in. While it is true that each of us is a retail outlet for our products, it is also true that - He who has the most outlets wins! It seems to me that if you are aiming at a retail sale, it would take a lucky ricochet to hit a new team member or outlet. At the same time, if you are aiming at a new outlet, the worst that could happen is you would get a retail sale, because you demonstrate your products even with a recruiting presentation. So, I believe it is important that you only set appointments with potential new team members based on the opportunity and never on the products or services that you offer.
The Secret to Attracting The Big Gun
Everyone needs a crusade or a goal that is bigger than himself. Something that is good and has purpose. Something that makes them feel good and gives their life meaning. If you have a crusade, you can attract others to it. If you are in it only for the profit, you will have nothing special to attract the leaders, and they will be suspicious of your motives. Leaders are offered tremendous profits by amateurs everyday. On the other hand, the great recruiters always offer leaders the challenge of their lives.
Once you begin to attract leaders, you must help them to be successful with you right away. Ask them to give you a list of 52 people they know, which will be potential future crusaders. Also have them identify their top four people on the list or, as in a deck of 52 cards, their four aces. Once they have identified their four aces, take them out to present your crusade, two on one or on a three-way call or in a private chat room, to those four aces within the first 24 to 72 hours. Two-on-one, leader-to-leader recruiting is the most powerful and dynamic way you can build your organization. These first few recruits will possibly be your team captains and these team captains have the ability to build much faster and much stronger than most team members do.
Also, you must challenge all your team captains and team members early in their association with you. In addition to their list of 52 names, have them write down their goals and expectations for their first 90 days and first year in the business. Have them give you a copy of these goals and every time you counsel with them about their business, work with them toward accomplishing their goals. Always talk to your team members about their goals, and help them to achieve their goals. By helping them to make their dreams come true, your dreams will come true also. So you cannot help them too much!
Do not pick your team captains too early in their association with you. You must assume that everyone on your team is going to be a team captain. However, we know from experience that they won't all be leaders. In fact, most of the time, the more wonderful they tell you they are, the bigger disappointment they become. When someone sticks his head up and begins to assume a leadership role, you must begin to work very closely with that person and take an active role in their career.
Always challenge your team to reach a little higher and run a little further. Keep the big goal in front of them. That is why it is so important that you know what your team members' goals are. When they know how much you care about their success and their families and their lives, they will be loyal to you for life. And you will be rewarded richly with many wonderful friends....And a really big MLM Team!

Network Marketing Training- The MLM Success Secrets of Explaining Your MLM Comp Plan by Doug Firebaugh
Money.
That is what drives the MLM industry. The quest for a better life, a better future, and a better income.
Why did you join your network marketing company?
For something to do?
Yeah -- right.
That is why 99% of all folks who enroll in MLM companies join -- for a better lifestyle. And the hope of making more money is what drives the network marketing industry.
Every MLM company has a way they pay their distributors, known as a "Compensation Plan." Or "Comp Plan". Your company has one and that is how you are paid, by the volume you have created by the Comp Plan.
You go out, and create Volume of sales, and you get a certain percentage of the sales. Most plans focus on the sale, or movement of mlm products and services to the marketplace, and that is what drives the wealth vehicle of network marketing.
There are different types of Network Marketing Comp Plans, and there are many more Hybrid forms.
But generally there are 5 different types, and you need to really understand the Plan that your network marketing company has.
The 5 Basic Kinds of MLM Compensation Plans are:
1)The Stairstep 2)The Unilevel 3)The Binary 4)The Breakaway 5)The Matrix
1)The Stairstep
The Stairstep is a simple plan that has requirements that you must meet to get up the "Stairs of Success." Each stairstep is a promotion based on Volume usually, and each promotion you make more money. Usually you must qualify each month for the rank you obtain to get paid at that rank. And the stairstep usually has a number of levels it pays down to.
2)The Unilevel
The Unilevel is a simple "Number of levels" that the MLM company will pay you, and usually there is no promotion or rank. You make money by getting a certain override off of the volume, and usually there is a requirement of volume to qualify for a check. Most affilaite programs operate this way.
3)The Binary.
The Binary is an interesting design for a Comp Plan. It usually has 2 "legs" that you can have "Business centers" in, and you have a volume requirement to get paid on each leg. There is what is called "balance" in the Binary. You must balance in some form the volume from each leg to make sure you don't have a runaway leg. One leg explodes, while the other one sits idle. You must balance the two, and you usually can override the same volume a number of times with different business centers.
4)The Breakaway.
Some forms of this plan have become somewhat unpopular in the industry, as you can lose the business in a leg you build, once it gets to a certain level of success, and it "breaks away" to no longer be a part of what you get paid on. Some other forms do not have this feature -- you can keep your business in every leg, even if it gets to the breakaway point. Depends on the type of stairstep you are usiing. It usually is a stairstep type of Plan, but I have seen it in others as well.
5)The Matrix
The matrix is a computer driven plan that people are placed into your group by computer, and they go in the next available slot. Usually this plan is combined with some form of a Binary, and it does work well if there are a lot of people that are recruited. When you recruit someone, the computer searches down for the next open slot, and positions them there. There are some plans that allow you to override the computer's selection if you want them to go a particular place in your downline.
Ok...so now you must see what kind of plan you have. See your upline if you have any questions at all, and get familiar with the plan you have and how it works.
INFERNO Secret:
DO NOT get too complicated on telling the mlm plan to someone. Keep it simple and make sure they understand that they CAN MAKE MONEY with it, as that is their greatest concern.
They are thinking, "Can I make money with this? And is anyone else doing it?"
Generally, when you talk about an MLM Comp Plan, you will want to mention 4 general areas about it that many people will want to know about.
1)The First area is Retail Profit.
You must show the prospect that they can earn a retail profit with your products and services...usually it about 40- 50%...
2)The Second Area is Team Overrides.
This is where, just like a Real Estate broker, or Insurance Broker, you can develop a team of Reps and help them become successful, and get paid a certain % of override off of them, just like the Real Estate and Insurance Brokers do. You are sort of a "Master Broker" for your company, and help others do the same thing. This is where most people have trouble with MLM. They don't understand that what we do is just like a Real Estate or Insurance Broker, only better.
3)The Third Area is Leadership Bonuses.
This is where you help develop Successful Network Marketing leaders in your group, and you get an additional bonus or override from your group. You get rewarded by helping others develop their Leadership -- the most fair compensation in the world.
4)The Fourth Area are Rewards -- like trips and cars.
This area is a favorite among Network Marketers. Once you have reached a level of success, many companies will give you an additional car payment money, and also take you on trips that you can qualify for -- a great incentive to work!!!
Be sure you understand the components of your MLM Comp Plan. This was just a VERY General Overview, and that is all.
Again.....KEEP THE Network Marketing Comp PLAN SIMPLE.
The More Simple you keep it, the more powerful it becomes, as does your MLM and Network Marketing Success!
blessings...doug

Can A Network Marketing Business REALLY Be Run Exclusively Online? © 2002 Elena Fawkner
For many people, the words "network marketing" or "MLM" (multi-level marketing) conjure up images of hitting up your so-called "warm market" (those two or three hundred people near and dear to you as well as those unfortunate enough to have crossed your path at some time in the distant past) and pleading, cajoling, persuading, arguing and plain pressuring them to join your program. Or organizing house parties and presentations to make your pitch to a captive audience. Or having to approach complete strangers while standing in line at the supermarket.
Any or all of these options may be unpalatable to you, and for good reason. They certainly were to me. But what if you didn't have to do any of that? What if there was a way to have people approach YOU to join your business rather than the other way around? What if you didn't have to hold face-to-face meetings at ALL? What if you didn't have to make a single approach to someone you know? Or to someone you don't? Would you think differently about network marketing then?
Well, there is such a way. Running a network marketing business using the Internet.
I've heard many people say that it's just not possible to run a network marketing business exclusively online. Well, I'm here to tell you different. Because I'm doing it and if I can do it, so can you.
Before I tell you a bit more about how a network marketing business can be run exclusively online, let me clear up a couple of possible misconceptions. First, running an online business does NOT mean creating a website and then sitting back expecting the business to run itself. You will work every bit as hard in an online network marketing business as you will in an offline network marketing business. This is just a different method, that's all.
Secondly, when I say "exclusively" online, I mean that's where your lead generation and prequalification work happens, it does NOT mean you will never have to pick up a telephone and speak to a real, live person at the other end.
OK, so what's involved in running a network marketing business online then?
The first thing to understand is that network marketing, just like Internet marketing, is a numbers game. It is for this precise reason that network marketing is IDEALLY suited to being run online. Why? Because ANY Internet business is a numbers game. Just ask anyone with a web site what their focus is when their web site is up and running. It's traffic. It's getting as many people to their web site as they can because somewhere in the range of 2% - 4% of site visitors will click on a link that, in some fashion or another, can generate revenue for the web site owner. Of those 2% - 4% of visitors who click on the link, however, only 1% or so of THEM will go on to buy after clicking on the link. Ergo, with such tiny response rates, high traffic is the name of the game. The same principle holds true for your network marketing business.
At its core, network marketing is a simple business. It's all about generating leads, qualifying those leads and then following up with those qualified leads until they take the action you want them to take (or tell you to stop) - either purchasing product from you or joining your downline as a productive distributor.
=> GENERATING LEADS
How do you generate leads? This depends on your starting position. If you already have an established web site and your network marketing business is a natural fit with that existing site, then you will not need to do too much in the way of additional lead generation for your network marketing business other than including a link to your network marketing company's web site from your existing site.
But if you don't have an existing web site, you're going to have to start from scratch. You're going to need to create a web site (on a subject matter of interest to people who would also be interested in your network marketing business opportunity or products), link to your network marketing company's site from that web site, submit your site to the search engines (and employ all the myriad other ways of driving traffic to it) and you're going to have to start publishing an ezine (electronic newsletter) on a relevant subject and on a regular basis and build a sizeable subscriber list (again using a variety of different methods).
To generate significant traffic to your site and subscribers to your ezine is going to take time. Lots of it. Months, in fact. You should probably allow a year before it's at a size that will make much of a difference.
In the meantime, you're going to have to generate leads in other ways. The two primary effective methods are paid advertising (both for your network marketing business opportunity and the products your business promotes) and you can pay for leads.
=> QUALIFYING LEADS
Unlike the traditional, offline ways of generating leads for a network marketing business, by definition, the leads you generate online are prequalified. For example, if you're trying to generate leads offline, you're talking to everyone you can at every opportunity. You may be speaking with someone ahead of you in line at the bank or supermarket, a young mother you run into when picking up your kids from school, and any other number of people you come across in your day to day activities.
The problem is, as you have no idea whether these people are even remotely candidates for your opportunity, you can waste a LOT of time talking with people who are poor prospects for your business.
On the other hand, if you've created a web site on a topic of relevance and interest to the people who would also be interested in your network marketing opportunity, by definition your web site visitors are prequalified as, because they have sought you out, they are likely to be interested in at least learning more about your opportunity.
Placing paid advertising and paying for leads are other ways of qualifying leads. What these methods all have in common, however, is that the lead COMES TO YOU, you don't go after them. If someone makes contact with you wanting to know more about your opportunity, it's all of a sudden a LOT easier to pick up a phone and call them isn't it? Or to send them information via email if that's what you and they prefer.
=> FOLLOWING UP UNTIL YOU GET ACTION
The other big, big advantage running a network marketing business online offers is the ability to automate your follow-ups. Every time someone contacts you for information about your opportunity, add that person's email address to your list of prospects and then periodically send follow-up messages to that list. By employing autoresponders (software that allows you to send prewritten follow-up email messages to defined email addresses on a periodic basis), this process can be completely automated, leaving you free to spend your time on generating leads rather than administrative tasks.
As you can see, running a network marketing business exclusively online is not an overnight project and it requires a LOT of work, consistency, persistence and commitment. But it most certainly can be done. If you're serious about making serious money from an Internet-based business, network marketing is the way to go. I's where the big, secure money is. But to earn big, secure money, you need to invest big too. You need to invest time, money and sweat equity into building your business.
Fortunately, however, network marketing online offers one other HUGE advantage over starting any other sort of online business. An upline. If you join a network marketing program that's suited to being run online (and some aren't, by the way), AND you join up under a sponsor who is part of a team that specializes in running the business exclusively (or near enough exclusively) online, you will have at your disposal a wealth of experience, expertise and tools you will be hard-pressed to find elsewhere.
So, think about it. If you're looking for a way to make money from your computer and you had, until now, thought network marketing wasn't for you, maybe you should think again. Network marketing coupled with Internet technology and an upline who knows what they're doing when it comes to running a business online could very well be the answer to the financial independence riddle you've been looking for. Just don't expect it to happen overnight. There are no magic wands in this business just as there aren't anywhere else.
